Sharshon Park Community Block Party
The Youth Services Bureau and Police Department invite families to come out and play at our annual Community Block Party. This event runs from 4:30PM until 7:30PM and admission is a school snack donation for Weekend Wheels. This event is created by youth in the Summer Teen Employment Program (STEP) to promote family fun and community spirit in a substance-free. environment. Call 860-285-1946 for more information.

Sulema DePeyster Joins Windsor Historical Society
Windsor Historical Society is very pleased to announce that Sulema DePeyster has accepted the position of Community History Specialist to support its community engagement efforts. A recent UCONN graduate with a BA in history, DePeyster has garnered numerous awards in the field including the Undergraduate History Excellence Award and the Sandra Rux Fellowship for outstanding work on independent history projects. She has also worked closely with Professor Fiona Vernal and the Engaged, Public, Oral, and Community Histories (EPOCH) program, including collecting oral histories of Windsor residents

Voices Against Lyme Disease a 501(c)3, based in Windsor, CT is continuing their Support Group for those with a tickborne illness or a family member and friends. This group meets on the first and third Saturday of every month and is free to anyone wishing to join us. We use strict COVID 19 guidelines for our meetings. In addition, to support discussions we also provide up to date research information on tick borne illnesses, awareness and prevention.

Have an art project you need materials and/or advice for? Stop into the studio classroom at the Windsor Art Center Train Station Studios during open hours to use the space and materials for your personal project, and receive guidance from local artist Michelle Hawran (if you wish!)

You MUST sign up at least a day in advance to ensure no more than 4 students will be in the classroom at one time. Each student will have their own table and sanitized materials, and masks are required. If you are feeling sick, please to do not attend.
