Thank you for your rapid response to my questions and emails. It’s such a welcome change from the kind of customer service I was receiving before. I am so glad they caused me to find you!

  • Windsor Chamber of Commerce
Being a member of the Windsor Chamber of Commerce had immediate payback for me and my organization. I had a commercial painting project that I needed to complete but my internal maintenance organization was not able to offer me multiple project bids to choose from. I reached out to Adam Gutcheon, Executive Director for Windsor Chamber of Commerce, and he quickly provided me contact information for three commercial painting companies that are current members in good standing. I was able to source a painter for my project saving 86% from the initial quote. The Windsor Chamber of Commerce not only connects the community, but it serves as a liaison for business to business introductions and ventures.

I was able to read at Poquonock School in my daughters classroom [during the Businesses Fueling Minds Through Books program]. I thank you for the awesome opportunity! The kids loved the story and were thrilled the class was able to keep the book. We read about Polly and her Duck costume. They loved the costume because we are so close to Halloween and we all loved it was based on a true story. It is always great to get children excited about reading. Again thank you for the opportunity and have a great weekend.

Many thanks to the Chamber of Commerce for orchestrating the Business Expo event today. It was well attended by the employees and the variety of vendors present was a good representation of what Windsor and surrounding areas has to offer. We had some good inquiries regarding our products and services and a very good mortgage lead for our originator.

The Small business Roundtable discussion has helped me validate what I'm doing right, open myself up to vulnerabilities, and make changes to bring my business current to the year. Steve Porcaro, 4-in-1 Coaching is a great moderator and keeps the group on task. It's amazing how motivated and inspired you can get in one lunch hour.

Our entire staff at the HYATT house Hartford North/Windsor cannot thank you and your team at the Windsor Chamber of Commerce enough for the hard work and efforts. The Hartford Expo is always a wonderful year experience. How about next year?

By allowing that face to face involvement with our clients, not only strengths our relationship but also allows The Hartford busy executives and employees a fun yet informational event. From the initial communication to your chamber members, following up with specific instructions, a seamless arrival process and coordination of the on-site vendors created a win, win for all involved.

Until the next Expo ~ all the best !

  • Johnson, Dowe, Brown and Barbarotta LLC
Kristen Barbarotta at Johnson, Dowe, Brown and Barbarotta prepared my family's estate planning. She made the entire process simple and easy. She answered our questions and made us feel comfortable with all of the legal details involved with estate planning. I would highly recommend her services.

I want to thank you for everything you did to help us find a new clinic space in Windsor. It was not easy to find a space that met all of our requirements. Knowing that you were on the lookout for a space for us made the process so much easier for me. I can't thank you enough for all of your support over the past four years. We are so incredibly lucky to have a friend and advocate like you!

  • PC Development Group, LLC
My Dell Computer broke down and I was out of luck! I needed a computer fast, and I had heard a lot about PC Computers in Windsor, so I went in there. I was sold a Lenovo computer, which I am now using, over a year ago. It was a name brand that I never heard of before, but I was told that it was a good brand and would work fine for my needs. I ended up purchasing it, I was helped with the set up, sold a Great security system, better than the previous one I had before and have had no problems at all! Plus, I was happen to receive a Great deal on my 1 year security renewal at a great savings if I let PC Development put it in for me! They did and did a great job! I recommend them to anyone for all computer purchases and needs! The service was great!

Just wanted to thank the Chamber for a very informative meeting today. We have at least three (probably more) clients who will benefit from what I learned in that meeting. Thank you for coordinating the discussion on energy incentives and the programs available [for commercial property].

I met Carrie at some chamber related functions. We have discussed in depth her education related to her field. Because she does acupuncture exclusively, I feel that she is the best in the field. I use her services and always leave feeling great. In addition, her prices are very affordable!

I've attended a couple of the monthly meetings at the Chamber and it amazes me how ALL the local Windsor businesses come together to give back to their community with warmth and dedication to continue to see someone smile. Thanks for all you do for the community!

From day one of my Chamber membership I started networking, meeting people and getting new business from my efforts. Over the years I have taken advantage of many of the Chamber's promotional programs including the Sidewalk Sale, Business Intro Video, What's Going on in Windsor email newsletter and Passport program, as well as the Windsor Business Connections and Business After Hours networking events. The Chamber has been a good resource for information and a source of referrals.

Thank you. I had a great time [at Businesses Fueling Minds], and I hope my kids did, too. I could have stayed all day talking with them about books and biographies (their recent learning unit) and such. The teacher finally stood up to indicate that it was time for me to get lost I think these kids are far more sophisticated than I was at their age (first grade). They are so sweet and so eager. They have every right to expect that we adults in the community will nurture them in any way that we can.

Feel free to schedule other similar events or just have us volunteer at odd times throughout the year.

I just wanted to take a minute after all this time to tell you how much I appreciate the "What's Going on in Windsor" email newsletter. It really keeps me in the loop and I have gone to events I probably would have forgotten about if I hadn't been reminded by your update.

  • Geissler's Supermarket
"While attending the 2011 Windsor Chamber of Commerce Annual Auction, my ticket was pulled in the final drawing - $200.00 in Windsor Chamber of Commerce Gift Certificates. Being a busy career gal, wife and mother of two, in this economy I am always looking to save money at home. Where can you cut the most? Your grocery bill.

So my husband and I went one Sunday to our local Geisslers Grocery store in downtown Windsor on Broad Street. We 1st stopped by the service desk to just double check if this program really works. No surprise there, YES - they accept the certificates. Little did they know, Kevin and I went directly to the meat department, filling up our entire carriage with chicken, pork, beef, ham etc.

Regardless of the funny looks, we went about with our shopping experience ending in the check out line. Our sales clerk and on-shift supervisor knew just what to do. Each certificate was processed through their register, which I then signed for and off and away we went home to pack our freezer full of Geissler's fine meats.

Great job Windsor Chamber of Commerce and Great job Geissler's" !!

Thank you for your newsy and information 'What's Going On In Windsor" throughout the year. My daughter and son live out of town now, but receive a copy as well as some of their high school friends. Good way to stay connected . I've partaken of many events and would only have known about them from your newsletter. Happy Holidays and thank you again.

  • PC Development Group, LLC
When I went into PC Development Group a few weeks ago to discuss the possibility of buying a new PC, I had no idea what they were capable of doing for me.

I knew that my several year old PC was driving me crazy because it was too slow for me, that it contained software that I wasn't using but didn't know how to delete and that some of my files were not organized the way that I wanted them. I also knew that buying a new PC involved transferring files from my old PC and that would be a time consuming task I didn't want to do myself.

After explaining my problems to one of the friendly staff I told him exactly what I did want. He told me that he could build a PC to my specifications. This would not be a commercial product but their own brand constructed with the components selected for my needs.

I was happy with the price, the quick service, the organization of my files and the SPEED of my new PC!

Honestly anyone in the market for a new PC or who needs work on their old one should check out PC Development Group. I can't imagine why anyone would go anywhere else!

Thanks so much for the Business to Business Connections meetings. This is where I met Karen from Action Carpet. Steve is great at leading the meeting and I've gotten some great tips at both sessions that I've attended thus far.

I just wanted to send you and the Chamber team a sincere thank you for arranging such a great time Friday evening at the Windsor Chamber annual meeting. The theme was fantastic, the decorations were great, the food was great, and I really enjoyed myself.

It was truly amazing to see such a motivated and friendly community of business people come together like that. Windsor certainly has an awesome community that appears to be growing all the time. As you know, I'm not a local person, however the whole feel of the event strongly reminded me of my small hometown in Ipswich, MA- and I haven't had that sense anywhere else since moving to Connecticut in 2008.
