When: December 6 through December 29th Opening weekend December 8, 10-4, and December 9, 11-4 Where: Windsor Art Center, 40 Mechanic Street, Windsor (off Rte. 159 in downtown Windsor behind CVS) Cost: Free 25 Women Artists Hold Holiday Show and Sale Twenty-five women artists and artisans, members of the Women Artists Collective, will present their work at the Annual Holiday Show and Sale, at the Windsor Art Center from December 6 – December 29. Special Sale weekend, with an ongoing reception, is December 8 from 10-4 and December 9, from 11-4. Sale tables will be set up with an array of gift ideas for your holiday shopping. Stop by and visit the shrine to Saint Helianthus. Eden, paintings; Dorothy Fillmore, Trompe l’Oeil; Ina Forman, quilts; Martha Jeffrey Galuszka, prints; Teri Glassman, paintings; Susan Hackett, Shrine to Helianthus; Luciana Heineman, paintings; Irene Hilbert, paintings; Charlene Li, pottery; Linda Lilling, paintings; Janet Miller, paintings; Holly Pelton, paintings; Ceil Rossi, gourds: Donna Shaw, paintings; Martha Simpson, fiber; Nightwing Whitehead, fiber Womack, books and paintings Begun in 2003, the Women Artists Collective is a group of visual artists in Connecticut and Massachusetts who come together to energize and support each other in the creative process, and to show and sell their work. We are painters, printmakers, potters, quilters, fiber artists, and jewelers. We work in glass, ink, paint, clay, fabrics, canvas, found objects and paper. Our work is abstract, representational, metaphoric, narrative, and includes figurative subjects, among many others.
