Please join us at Windsor Historical Society on Thursday, September 19, at 7 p.m., when James Selig of James Selig Estate Jewelry and Antiques will offer a program addressing a challenge that many seniors and their adult children face: what to do with the stuff the kids don’t want? In the last few decades, the antiques and collectables market has shifted from large colonial and Victorian style furniture to smaller items. The younger crowd is not much interested in silver, ceramics, and glassware, and more interested in things from the 1950’s and 1960’s. So how best to find new homes for family treasures no longer wanted by younger family members? This is the theme of Selig’s Thursday night program. Program cost is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors and students, and $4 for Windsor Historical Society members. You may pay at the door or sign up online at http://bit.ly/StuffKidsDontWant. |
