The town is proposing to acquire 95 acres of land, the former Traditions Golf Course, on Pigeon Hill Road for the purpose of open space preservation and passive recreation. At this meeting you’ll be able to learn more about the opportunity to protect this large tract of land along the Mill Brook. Over 50% of the purchase price is being paid for by grant funding through the state’s Open Space and Watershed Protection Program. The proposal is part of an ongoing effort to conserve land along the Mill Brook which is a tributary of the lower Farmington River and ultimately the Connecticut River.
