On February 25, 7 PM to 8:30 PM, Join Connecticut State Historian Walter Woodward for a rousing virtual discussion of events that shaped our state – from the earliest people (including John Mason) to the latest. Woodward brings the history we thought we knew to life in new ways, from the nearly forgotten early presence of the Dutch, to the time when Connecticut was New England’s fiercest prosecutor of witches, the decades when "Nutmeggers" were rapidly leaving the state, and the years when Irish immigrants were hurrying into it. Walt Woodward connects past and contemporary events and will leave you thinking about our state’s past––and its future––in a whole new way! Advanced registration is required for all programs - register for any of these programs at windsorhistoricalsociety.org, email us at info@windsorhistoricalsociety.org, or call us at 860-688-3813. Genealogy Support Group and Photos Sharing Events are free. Virtual History Programs, including Windsor in 1921, Creating Connecticut, Museums and Race, and Gatekeepers All are $5 per program. Register for all four and pay only $15! The Windsor Historical Society, founded in 1921, invites visitors to explore the people, places, and events that have shaped Windsor for over four centuries. The Society’s museum and research library is located at 96 Palisado Avenue (Route 159) and will re-open beginning January 20, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday. Admission is free. Visit us on the web at windsorhistoricalsociety.org for directions and more information about programs or volunteer opportunities. Want to know more about Windsor history?
