Attend to learn what you need to do for your safety and wildlife. Well known expert on wildlife and CT State Director of the Humane Society of the United States Annie Hornish, will share her experience and knowledge on the topic of bears and welcomes questions on other wildlife. Ms. Hornish will cover how to co-exist with bears and why hunting of bears will not make people safer. She will offer perspectives for humane management when conflicts with wildlife arise. Ms. Hornish was honored in August 2019 with an Official Citation from the Connecticut General Assembly for her policy work on wildlife and environmental issues. She is a former State Representative for Connecticut’s 62nd District, where she was instrumental in both the passage of many pro-animal welfare and pro-environmental laws. Annie holds a Bachelor of Science from UCONN’s College of Agriculture, a Certificate in Cytotechnology from the UCONN Health Center, and a Master of Business Administration from Western New England College. download: WCC-FORUM-10.2.19-Co-Existing-with-B.pdf |
