Concert on the Green
The Windsor Chamber of Commerce and First Town Downtown invite you to a free concert on the green on Thursday August 9th from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM featuring Farmington Valley Band, sponsored by Carmon Funeral Homes.

The Farmington Valley Band performs a wide variety of challenging and outstanding concert music, favorites and marches. Although the marching tunes of K.L. King, Sousa, R.B. Hall and old time American band leaders abound, you are also likely to hear a few jazz compositions in the "Big Band" tradition of the Dorseys or Woody Herman.

Cirillo Summer Theatre (Senior Division) presents its summer production of the Sondheim masterpiece of horror and tragedy, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, at five public performances on August 3, 4, 5, 10 and 11.

Opens Friday, August 3rd and runs Saturday August 4th @ 7:30 and Sunday August 5th @ 2:00. We close the following weekend with two more performances Friday August 10th and Saturday August 11th @ 7:30PM

$15 General Admission
$12 Seniors and kids under 12

Local Artist Art Exhibit
Kathleen Tracy, Artist, will be showing eight of her watercolor works of art in West Hartford at West Side Wines, 10 Raymond Road. The show will be up through Labor Day. She is showing her work with fellow artist Peter Upton who uses acrylics. Art works can be viewed during regular business hours Mon-Fri 10 AM to 8 PM, Sat 9 AM to 8 PM and Sunday Noon to 5 PM. Tour Windsor Rocks!
The partnership that brought you TourWindsorCT.org is at it again! Have fun with Tour Windsor Rocks starting Thursday, July 12 through August 23 with a kickoff painting party on July 12th at 6:00 pm at the Windsor Historical Society and paint your own Tour Windsor Rocks rock.

Take a photo of you and your rock, then find a spot on the tour to leave the rock for someone else to find. Then visit TourWindsorCT locations to find a rock to take a picture with. Post photos of the fun, painted rocks to social media with the hashtag #tourwindsorrocks and tag us @tourwindsorct.

Alzheimer's Support Group
Kimberly Hall offers an Alzheimer's Support group for family members who are a caregiver or have a loved one with a form of dementia. The support group consists of both families caring for someone at home or who have someone in a community. Please feel free to join us to learn more about the disease and how to cope with changes that occur as the disease progresses.

Community Block Party (Deerfield)
The youth Service Bureau and Police Department invite families to come out and join our annual Community Block Party on Friday, August 10th at Deer Park. This event runs from 4:30 PM until 7:30 PM and admission is a school snack donation for the Weekend Wheels Program. Enjoy carnival games, arts and crafts, face painting, music, bounce-house, food and more! There will be prizes and giveaways. This is created by youth in the Summer Teen Employment Program (STEP) to promote family fun and community spirit in a substance free environment. Call (860)285-1990 for more information.

The Hartford Courant is pleased to announce a new pictorial history book, Greater Hartford Memories: A Photographic History of the 1800s Through the 1930s. Windsor Historical Society is a proud partner in this endeavor.

We’re excited to invite you to participate in this unique project. Please bring your photos to our scanning session at Windsor Historical Society on Saturday, August 11, from 1 - 3:30 pm, and be sure to check here for submission guidelines. Photos will be scanned on-site and given right back to you.

The First Town Downtown 2018 Farmers’ Market will begin its 10th season on Thursday, June 28 from 3:30 to 6:30 at 240 Broad Street in Windsor Center. The Farmers' Market will run every Thursday through October 18th. This well-attended local marketplace in Windsor Center includes locally grown fruits, vegetables, baked goods, herbs, eggs, cheese, skincare products, candles and more.
