Northwest Park Coffeehouse Concert
The Friends of Northwest Park are pleased to offer an evening of Urban Folk featuring The Porch Party Mamas on Saturday, April 7th at 7:30 pm at the Northwest Park Nature Center in Windsor.
Inspired by playing and singing each others songs at their own “porch parties”, these established Boston area musicians and singer/songwriters decided to combine their individual talents and create their own brand of Urban Folk, Country and Blues. Cathy Doocy is a painter of contemporary landscapes. “In my work, the representation of a ‘landscape’ is not the final goal. Instead, I use the vernacular of landscape painting as a method for exploring composition and color. Join the staff of Northwest Park on April 9 through April 13 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, youth in grades K through 2 can experience “Farm Frenzy”. This week explore life on the farm. Help feed our animals, learn the difference between chicken and duck eggs, use lamb’s wool to make fiber and make your own butter. What a great way to keep your child busy during spring break.

Friday Night Lights
Friday Night Lights is social group designed especially for those 18 and older, with developmental/cognitive disabilities. Due to the nature of this program participants must be independent in feeding and toileting. Participants will be involved in various recreational activities, enjoy video games, air hockey, table tennis, TV, pool table, food and so much more once a month to help promote socialization and vocational skills. The program will meet the first Friday of each month from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Teen Zone, located at the Community Center at 330 Windsor Avenue. Register online

2018 Shad Derby Wine & Beer Tasting
This 6th annual Shad Derby event is sponsored by the Windsor Woman's Club. It will take place on Saturday April 7th from 6pm -9pm at The Saint Gabriel Church Hall, 379 Broad St., Windsor , CT 06095.

Cost is $30 per person.

Attendees must be over 21 years old or older. You will be able to sample local beer and wine. Appetizers will be served by Windsor's own Dom's Broad St. Eatery !! There will also be a silent auction.

Proceeds to benefit Windsor Woman's Club Scholarships.
