Those who attend the Appalachian Trail Seminar will be treated to a modern day adventure. Sam Ducharme set out on a 2180 mile, 14 state backpacking trip from Springer Mountain, Georgia to Mt. Katahdin Maine. During his six month journey he documented the rugged beauty of the Appalachian Mountains, the wildlife, the hardships encountered on the trail, as well as the people, culture and humanity at its finest. Wake up and head to Northwest Park this morning from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM for the annual Friends of Northwest Park Pancake Breakfast! Bring an appetite for a full breakfast of pancake and sausage smothered in 100% pure maple syrup made right her at Windsor's own Northwest Park. This event will allow participants to hear about the history of weaving in the area, plus see demonstration of different kinds of loom. This program begins with community cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training including child and infant CPR and ends with proper Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training and technique. This is an American Safety Health Institute certified course and participants will receive a certification card valid for two years.

Nat's BBQ, 144B Broad St., is hosting a family fun fundraiser for St. Gabriel School on Wednesday, March 21 from 4PM to 8PM. Bring a flyer advertising this fundraiser available from any St. Gabriel School family to the restaurant or ask for one at the restaurant that night. Nat's will donate 15% of sales to St. Gabriel School. Purchase a BackEast beer and the brewery will donate $1 for each beer sold. See Nat's website, www.natsrealbbq.com, for the menu. Take out orders are included with a flyer.
