After a two-year absence due to the pandemic, the Windsor Shad Derby festivities happily returned in 2022! These shirts are available for a limited amount of time and make great gifts! T-shirts can be purchased on the WIN-TV website at https://win-tv.org/shad-derby-merchandise/ and are also available in person at the WIN-TV studios located at the LP Wilson Community and at Windsor Chamber of Commerce office.

Voices Against Lyme Disease a 501(c)3, based in Windsor, CT is continuing their Support Group for those with a tickborne illness or a family member and friends. This group meets on the first and third Saturday of every month and is free to anyone wishing to join us. We use strict COVID 19 guidelines for our meetings. In addition, to support discussions we also provide up to date research information on tick borne illnesses, awareness and prevention.

Kids Bowl Free All Summer Long!

This summer, we are thrilled to once again participate in the Kids Bowl Free program at all Spare Time Entertainment locations! Kids Bowl Free is a national program designed by bowling centers to give back to the community. Children registered in the program receive two FREE games of bowling per day! If you’re looking to get your kids off the couch and fill their summer with fun, this is the perfect program for your family!

Have an art project you need materials and/or advice for? Stop into the studio classroom during open hours to use the space and materials for your personal project, and receive guidance from local artist Michelle Hawran (if you wish!)

You MUST sign up at least a day in advance to ensure no more than 4 students will be in the classroom at one time. Each student will have their own table and sanitized materials, and masks are required. If you are feeling sick, please to do not attend.

Sign ups are in one-hour increments, and the list of materials included in the classroom is as follows:

What: The Windsor Senior Center is home to a new Men’s Club, and we need YOU to help it to grow! We invite local men 55+ to participate in this twice-monthly social club. Enjoy coffee over discussion of a “hot topic”, as well as plan events and trips among your group.

When/Where: 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 9:30 AM in the senior center.

Second Annual Clothing Drive
The Connecticut Cat Connection will be kicking off it’s second annual clothing donation drive this Saturday, April 23rd, and will run every week through June 18th. C.C.C. works in partnership with Saver’s Thrift stores’ FUNDrive Program,which recompenses the Cat Connection monetarily, for all
collected donations. Items accepted include gently-used clothing, linens, curtains, towels, shoes, belts, back-packs, blankets, pillows and bedding. Donations can be dropped off at the adoption center, located at 40 Stevens Mill Lane,Windsor, CT. Please gather clothes and household textiles in bag
