Windsor and Bloomfield are partnering to present numerous celebrations of Freedom Day.

Windsor's Longest Day Concert
On Tuesday June 21, the first day of summer, come to the town green from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM for the Windsor’s Longest Day Concert. This event is being hosted by the Caring Connection Adult Day Health Center and Windsor Senior Center to raise awareness and show support for caregivers and those living with Alzheimer’s Disease and related cognitive disorders. Noah Lis from NBC’s The Voice Season 6 runner up will perform. Free. Call 860-547-0251 for more information.

Strawberry Festival and Vendor Fair
Head down to the farm to enjoy the sweet taste of summer!
Come enjoy our freshly picked strawberries while listening to live music. Indulge on strawberry shortcake and other delicacies while walking around the farm to view all that our local vendors have to offer! Food trucks will here serving up some tasty food as well. Including Lucky Dog Hot Dog food truck. Dave will be making fresh kettle corn, popping right while you watch!

We will have our jump pad out and "Teach Art 2 Me" will be here for some amazing face painting. Family friendly games will be up like connect 4 and ladder ball.

The Connecticut Cat Connection will be kicking off it’s second annual clothing donation drive this Saturday, April 23rd, and will run every week through June 18th. C.C.C. works in partnership with Saver’s Thrift stores’ FUNDrive Program,which recompenses the Cat Connection monetarily, for all

There was a time when you could walk through Connecticut and find schoolhouses scattered everywhere. Each schoolhouse had one teacher who taught all the neighboring children ages 7-16. In 1852, there were over 1600 schoolhouses!
Author Melinda K. Elliott brings these schoolhouses to life in her book “Connecticut Schoolhouses Through Time” Book signing to follow.

Artists in the LGBTQIA+ community are using their artwork to address coming out, acceptance by friends and family and, most importantly, acceptance of self and how that has changed over the last 50 years.

The Art Center will host a series of events highlighting the LGBTQIA+ community throughout May and June.
