Iceland Travel Info Meeting

WHS Student Art Opening
Join us at Windsor Historical Society on Thursday, January 25 , 2018 from 5:30-7 p.m. for a FREE public opening featuring artwork created by Windsor High School’s Pre-AP Art students who have been inspired by the historic architecture of Windsor’s Broad Street and Palisado Greens, Palisado Cemetery, and Farmington River Railroad Bridge. On view will be student collages incorporating layers of historic imagery and representing their feelings about their hometown. At 6 p.m. a video will be shown where students talk about what inspired them on their tours, and what they learned about their town
Sportsters’ Bowling League-55 & Up

The Windsor Sportsters’ Bowling league starts today from 10:00 AM to noon at the Bradley Bowl. This is a non-competitive, co-ed league that meets every Monday. No bowling skills needed. Join anytime; players are able to take breaks from the schedule. $11.00 for three games. 860-688-6119.
Cross-country Skiing & Snowshoeing

Cross-country Skiing & Snowshoeing
Beginning Saturday, January 6th there will be cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at Northwest Park. Snow conditions require a 6” base. Travel through snow-laden forests and fields throughout the park. Cross-country skis and snowshoe rentals are available from the Warming Shed on weekends only, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Children and adult sizes are available. Rental fee is $10.00 for Windsor resident and $15.00 for non-resident. Call on Friday afternoon for updated snow conditions 860-285-1886. A special presentation by the
UCONN Student National Pharmaceutical Association
Doctorate students from the UConn Student National Pharmaceutical Association Diabetes Initiative will lead a special presentation covering the basics of diabetes care, such as: over-the-counter products, herbal medicines, and medication safety. They will go over how to care for common conditions associated with diabetes, the importance of certain vaccines, and what to expect at routine check-ups.

Friday Night Lights

Friday Night Lights
Friday Night Lights is social group designed especially for those 18 and older, with developmental/cognitive disabilities. Due to the nature of this program participants must be independent in feeding and toileting. Participants will be involved in various recreational activities, enjoy video games, air hockey, table tennis, TV, pool table, food and so much more once a month to help promote socialization and vocational skills. The program will meet the first Friday of each month from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Teen Zone, located at the Community Center at 330 Windsor Avenue. Register online
