Take a Pause, Complete the Census
The Windsor Chamber, in partnership with the Governor's Office and the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, is encouraging businesses to give their employees a moment to pause for 10 minutes to complete the 2020 U.S. Census.

At 10:00 a.m. on July 10, please take ten minutes for you and your employees to visit https://2020census.gov/ and fill out the Census form. Connecticut, and Windsor, depend on a complete count for federal funds and political representation. The census is safe and private--responses are strictly confidential. Emergency Medical Technician Course
This 5 week course prepares students to respond to all types of medical emergencies. Upon successful completion of the course students will have a solid foundation and understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and medical technology. Our comprehensive program combines interactive lectures, hands-on practical training, and observation time at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center’s Emergency Department, along with ride time onboard our ambulances with our highly skilled EMT’s and paramedics.

Windsor robotics, Team Paragon and the Blazing Spirits, are holding a bottle and can drive on Saturday, July 11 from 9:00 am -2:00 pm at their build-site, the Roger Wolcott School, 57 East Wolcott Avenue.
The redeemed bottles and cans help support the teams throughout the year.

The Windsor Chamber of Commerce, Town of Windsor, and Connecticut United Ways have teamed together to help our Windsor neighbors who are suffering economic distress due to the pandemic. The Windsor Covid-19 Response Fund provides up to $200 for basic needs to families living paycheck to paycheck without access to savings. Behind the Scenes Collections Spotlight: Windsor Quilts

Join us on Friday, July 17, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. for a special behind the scenes look at the quilts of Windsor Historical Society with Curator Kristen Wands. The Society’s beautiful and varied quilts are rarely exhibited but will be made available especially for program participants. This is an in-person program, provided in a safe, socially-distanced manner.

Artwork Drop-off for Windsor Art Center 2020 sixth annual Members’ Exhibition is Friday, July 10, 5-7pm & Saturday, July 11, 10am – 12noon. The Windsor Art Center invites all current and new members to submit work to be on view July 25 – September 12, 2020. Members may submit up to 2 works of art that are properly prepared for exhibition. A prize will be awarded for Best in Show, Second Place, Honorable Mention, and a Young Participant Recognition. Teens are invited to add some color to your wardrobe with an awesome take-home tie dye craft kit! Each kit will come with a shirt, a pair of socks, and dye supplies. Teen librarian, Mr. Andy, will be live on ZOOM Wednesday, July 15 at 4:00 pm for everyone who wants to dye and decorate as a group! Log into ZOOM again on Friday, July 17 at 4:00 pm to show off your finished designs.
