While most events continue to be postponed or moved online, there's one great online event starting tomorrow benefiting the whole community: Chamber Cares 2020, Windsor's first online community benefit auction. The auction benefits some great Windsor non-profits as well as local Covid-19 relief. If your income is stable in this difficult time, you can support your community, kill time while stuck at home, and win some unique items and experiences all at once by participating! We're still adding items, but you can go to https://windsor2020.givesmart.com now to check out what's on offer so far and register. Bidding starts tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. This year's beneficiaries are the Chamber, the Music School at Sound Crossing, and the Windsor Education Foundation, as well as two nonprofits providing relief to households experiencing a sudden loss of income: the Windsor Food and Fuel Bank and the Neighbors in Need Fund of the United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut. Below is a sampling of some of the items on offer. |

Riesling Lovers Wine Box
Thirsty Owl Wine Company was opened by the Cupp family in 2002 and is located on the West side of Cayuga Lake on a half mile of lake frontage (450 ft. deep) in the Finger Lakes of upstate New York. Thirsty Owl is a fully operational winery with approximately 41 acres of vineyard, using 100% Finger Lakes fruit, 85% of which is estate grown and is sustainably farmed and solar powered. We strive to make wines that are fruit foward, food friendly and appealing to a broad customer base while enhancing the best qualities of each distinct vintage. Thirsty Owl produces a wide variety of wines, including estate grown and award winning Rieslings, Pinot Gris and hybrids along with additional white varietals, including "unique for the area," distinctive dry reds such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Malbec and Pinot Noir.
