First Aid and CPR Class
First Aid and CPR Class will be held at 330 Windsor Avenue Community Center from 9:00am – 2:30pm for youth 12 to 18 years old. Youth will be taught First Aid (2 year certification) on how to respond to common first aid emergencies, including burns; cuts; head, neck back injuries and more, CPR/AED (2 year certification) learn how to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in adults, including the use of automated external defibrillators (AED). Please bring a bag lunch. $55.00 per participant. Register online or at the Recreation and Leisure Services Office located at 599 Matianuck Ave.

Have you wanted to visit but can’t wait until we open at 11 AM? Bring the whole crew on Saturday, April 1, 2017 and from 9 – 11 a.m., and enjoy our Windsor history galleries and Hands-on-History Learning Center at your own pace.  Meet other families, try out our train table, build something spectacular with Legos, “milk” Flavia the cow, don colonial costumes and “cook” up a feast! Perfect for even the youngest learners (crawling is encouraged) with storyteller Marsha Mason at 10 a.m.  And it’s FREE!

Join us on the first Tuesday of the each Month (February- April) from 10:00 – 10:45 am for a FREE 45 minute program targeted to ages 3-5 years old and their care providers. During each session we will read a story, meet a live animal (corresponding to our monthly animal spotlight) and conclude with a craft or activity. Bring your young nature lovers out to Northwest Park for a jam-packed experience of hands-on learning!!! We will focus on the tree frog on February 7, the box turtle on March 7 and sheep on April 4. Join us for a great meal at a great place for a great cause. Dom's will donate a percentage of the profits during the time period to the Windsor Hunger Action Team's Weekend Wheels Backpack distribution program. This program provides backpacks with supplementary food for the weekend to children in need in the Windsor elementary schools. We currently distribution 80 backpacks each week!

Special guests include The University of Hartford Gospel Choir, The Hartford Public School Chorus, Central CT State University Ebony Chorale Ensemble, Bloomfield High School Voices of Inspiration, and the Metropolitan Learning Corridor Gospel Choir.
