Weather is not an easy thing! We want to thank all our Chili cooks, volunteers, Kiwanis and the Jaycees for participating in the Chili Challenge and for helping to make the rain date possible.

A big thank you to our Chili Challenge Chair Kathy Kopaz for an incredible job putting the event together!

Kiwanis Club Fried Dough & Canoe Race!
Support Windsor’s Food and Fuel Bank at the Windsor Kiwanis Club’s canoe race on the Windsor Town Green . A number of canoes, sponsored by local service clubs, churches and organizations are here on the town green accepting non-perishable and monetary donations for the Windsor Food & Fuel Bank. The distance the canoe travels on the green is dependent on the amount of food items/cash donated by the public to the organization sponsoring the canoe. All donations stay right here in Windsor to help those who need a helping hand!

The Kiwanis Club of Windsor, CT is a service organization comprised of caring men and women from all walks of life. Their objective is to bring aid to children in need. The of their efforts benefit children in this community. A portion of the funds they raise go to help meet Kiwanis International objectives which focus on the special needs of young children from prenatal development to age five. They serve by sponsoring fund raising activities, which provide monetary support for children’ programs and through personal involvement in the giving of our time and skills. The Kiwanis Club of Windsor has been actively involved in the Town of Windsor for over 50 years giving out over $90,000 worth of scholarships to Windsor High School Students.

The Club meets every Thursday evening at 6:30 PM at Jim's Pizza located at 124 Poquonock Ave in Windsor.

The Windsor Jaycees Beer Booth
Enjoy a glass of beer with your Chili!

The Windsor Jaycees is a local civic organization comprised of young, fun-loving but hard-working business owners, professionals, parents, & first responders, dedicated to serving their community. Jaycees primarily do this by fundraising through volunteerism so as to contribute to local scholarships, town improvements, support of various causes, and myriad other forms of community assistance.

Bart's/Beanery Restaurant and Catering
Bart’s has been serving breakfast, lunch and dinner for 70 years.  Known for its hot dogs, hamburgers, fresh seafood, milkshakes, ice cream, and daily specials. Bart’s is  located steps away from the Windsor Center River Trail, a public boat launch, Windsor Center and the Historical Society. .  Under new owner Todd DeWald, the Beanery has made significant renovations to the interior as well as to the menu. Now offering fresh made donuts, baked goods, ice coffees, smoothies, lattes, cappuccino, coffee flavors of the day as well as the house and dark roast coffee everyone has come to know. At lunch the Beanery offers salads made to order as well as it's signature sandwiches and wraps.

First Town Downtown
FTDT is holding its Second Hoe Down dance event Saturday, October 14th 2017 at Grace Episcopal Church starting at 7:30pm. The event will feature a live performance by CT-based country music band, Southern Voice. The night will also include a line dance demonstration, snacks, drinks, and silent auction. Western attire encouraged, country state of mind required.

Windsor High School Culinary Department
The culinary arts 2 class had an iron chef chili cook off in class to choose the best chili to be entered in the Windsor chili fest at the town green The culinary arts program at Windsor High School has won national and state competitions.  All culinary arts classes at the high school are accredited and students iearn credit at Manchester Community College.
