Final deliberations on the fiscal year 2019 budget will be held by the town council on Monday, April 23rd beginning at 6:30 PM in the town hall council chambers. Final deliberations had been previously scheduled for April 25th, but the schedule was changed by the council at the April 18th meeting.
“The budget hearings that began on April 5th have been running very smoothly and efficiently, said Mayor Don Trinks. The council unanimously agreed to move the final deliberations to April 23rd to keep the process moving and provide more time for information on the proposed budget to be shared with residents leading up to the referendum.”
The April 23rd meeting will begin at 6:30 PM with public comment, an opportunity for residents to provide their feedback on the fiscal year 2019 proposed budget. Following final deliberations, the town council will set a date for the referendum. The anticipated date of the budget referendum is Tuesday, May 8th.
