We had a beautiful day on the links Monday! The “Socially Distant” Golf Outing for the Windsor Community went off without a hitch, from the beautiful 70 degree weather, amazing food & open bar from the Tavern and great course at Keney Park. A huge thank you goes out to PeoplesBank, Webster Bank, all our community sponsors and amazing golfers. It was not only a fun day, but it was a successful day for raising money to help Windsor’s Small Business Recovery. We can’t wait for next year. Congrats to our winners:

Freedom Trail Events for September 2020

September is Connecticut Freedom Trail Month! The Connecticut Freedom Trail is designed to recognize the importance of sites throughout the State that are associated with the heritage and movement towards freedom of African Americans. The mission of the Windsor Freedom Trail is to 1) raise awareness of the Windsor Freedom Trail and share the rich history of the Freedom Trail sites; and 2) provide Windsor residents and the greater community with educational programs and events to celebrate African American achievement, history, and heritage. On-Site Flu Clinics Available

The Chamber has partnered with First Town Downtown and CVS Pharmacy to provide Windsor companies the chance to schedule flu clinics on-site for their employees. The CDC recommends that people get a flu vaccine by the end of October, though getting vaccinated later can still be beneficial and vaccinations are offered throughout the flu season.

“It’s more important than ever to get a flu shot,” says First Town Downtown Director, Jane Garibay, “Employers need to do everything they can to help keep their staff healthy. Offering on-site flu shots is an easy way to do that.”

Help Clean Up Windsor Waters

Did you know that over 500 acres of Windsor is water? The Source to Sea Cleanup is an annual trash cleanup of the Connecticut River and its tributaries, including the Farmington and all Windsor's streams and brooks.
