Chamber eNews for December 17, 2019: A Milestone
This week was my one-year anniversary as Executive Director of the Chamber. This year has truly flown by! Putting on the cycle of Chamber events has been overwhelming, and has given me quite the education! And developing new programs and value added services, while guiding the overall strategic direction of the Chamber, has been challenging and rewarding.

I've also been overwhelmed by the welcome I've received from this community. I'm thankful to live and work in a town like Windsor, a place of kindness, generosity, inclusion, and neighborliness. Maintaining this spirit is hard work that is done by thousands of people, all of whom deserve our gratitude.

I came to Windsor and took this position because I wanted to be part of something larger than myself--the project of community, and dare I say, American renewal. And being in this position has allowed me to meet countless Chamber members and supporters who feel the same way, who are part of building our future. To all of you, my very best wishes for a happy, healthy holiday and new year.

-- Adam Gutcheon

Preventing Sexual Harassment - Online Training

Sweeping changes to workplace harassment prevention training requirements are here.

On June 18, 2019, Connecticut enacted a new state law expanding its sexual harassment training requirements. Businesses with three or more employees must provide two hours of sexual harassment training to all employees--not just supervisors. New employees hired after October 1, 2019 must be trained within six months of hire.

The Windsor Chamber of Commerce provides the training you need to fulfill these requirements. Our in-depth, online workshop includes discussion of prevention strategies related to inappropriate workplace behavior of all kinds.

Get ahead of the curve by making arrangements for your employees' training now! Our online training is a completely interactive, self-paced learning system in which participants are assessed, led through a customized content module, and checked at each point in the learning process. Online training can be purchased directly through credit card payment or in volume through client invoice. Cost is only $20 per employee!
