Eagle Scout Trails Project A local Eagle Scout, James Farooque, is working on converting one of our local river trails into a heart healthy fitness trail. Ten stations will be installed along the trail with instructions and apparatus for a variety of fitness conditioning exercises for all ages. James is seeking sponsors for the trail. Your name and logo would be prominently displayed for the lifetime of the equipment, about ten years. Please call the Chamber office at 860-688-5165 if you'd like to sponsor a station! Share This

Go Baby Go Windsor Public Schools is participating in the GoBabyGo program for its third year. GoBabyGo is an event (this year the morning of Saturday, March 30) where Windsor students retrofit a power-wheels car for a toddler with mobility issues. Giving these kids the gift of zoom is a wonderful experience for them, the high schoolers who do the work, and the sponsors. They're still seeking three $300 sponsors for vehicles. Windsor Students Seek Summer Jobs As part of its commitment to developing the local workforce, the Chamber is partnering with the Windsor Public Schools to coordinate a Summer Youth Employment Program. We seek to provide summer work experiences that are enriching and productive both for the student and the employer. The program consists of job skills training before the summer starts and ongoing support throughout the summer.
