Chili Challenge

Add a little spice to your life at the Windsor Chamber of Commerce’s Chili Challenge presented by Windsor Federal Savings on October 6 on the town green from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. More than 30 local businesses, civic groups and creative cooks will all be there with some of the best chili you have ever tasted. Come to taste or participate as a cook. Chili sample tickets are $1.00 each. Don't forget to bring a non-perishable food item to the Kiwanis Club Canoe race to benefit the Windsor Food Bank. Rain date October 7. 860-688-5165.

Chili Challenge Booth Registration

The 23rd annual Chili Challenge will take place on October 6 (Rain date October 7).

If you haven’t already registered, please sign up on our website (windsorcc.org under events).

Here are some quick tips to help you prepare for a fun day on the Green where you will promote your business/organization!
• Send us information about your organization and logo so that we can publicize your business/organization!
• One representative from your Chili Challenge team must attend a mandatory meeting with the Health Department on Tuesday, September 29 at 5:30.
• Be creative! Prizes will be awarded for Best Chili 1st, 2nd, & 3rd
place; Best Booth Showmanship 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place; and the People's Choice Award. The Chili Tasting Judges taste all the chili without knowing who made the chili. They rate the chili on a 1-5 scale on color, aroma, texture, flavor and heat. For Best Booth Showmanship, Booth Judges will be reviewing all the booths between noon and 1:30.
• We are more than happy to help sponsors find cooks, or cooks find sponsors.
