As a Chamber of Commerce, we wear many hats. Our hat collection is of a wide variety, and we are proud of its diversity. There are hats which represent agriculture, the service industry, the oil industry, transportation, government, retail, professionals, construction, educators, organizations, real estate, manufacturing, the health care field and many more. We wear a community hat, promoting community pride and the quality of life in our community. We work hard to improve the availability of goods and services to our residents. We attempt to make our community a better place to live. We often put on our political hat determined to support those causes that enhance the business climate in our community and state. Often we need a hard-hat to take the unexpected hard knocks and survive without injury. We need the ability to take the blows, get up, brush off the dirt and get back to work . Among our hats is a helmet, reserved for tough action. We strap on our helmet when we expect to be hit and think we may need to hit back. We are never without a hat. We change frequently, sometimes several times a day. The challenge, of course, is knowing which hat to wear and when. We always have extra hats available for those who want to be involved.
