Help students from Windsor High School help victims of Hurricane Katrina through The WORTHY project! Dear Chamber Member, Windsor High School students are once again raising funds, this time for the unfortunate victims of Hurricane Katrina through The WORTHY Project (Windsor Offering Relief Through High School Youth). Donations will be sent to The American Red Cross, which meets the Better Business Bureau's standards for "wise giving." The Windsor Chamber of Commerce supports this fund raising initiative and encourages its members to make donations to The WORTHY Project by sending checks to The WORTHY Project, Windsor High School, 50 Sage Park Road, Windsor, CT 06095. Checks should be made out to The American Red Cross, (Hurricane Katrina in the memo line) and will be forwarded immediately along with a letter from The WORTHY Project. Windsor High School students in the Bridges, Camp Anytown, and Pathways, Student Council and the National Honors Society programs are reaching out to their families, friends, and local businesses to help alleviate the vast suffering of families and orphans whose lives have been devastated by this natural disaster. Please use The WORTHY Project as your safe and effective means of offering relief to these suffering people. Thank You, Coleen Thomas & Sharran Selig |
