A popular community program will offer Windsor residents opportunities to meet informally with Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth E. Feser, and talk about issues of importance involving our schools. Starting this month, Dr. Feser will go "on the road" around town to host "Community Coffee Chats." Dr. Feser's first two Community Coffee Chats are set for: --Tuesday, October 16 at 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at the Wilson branch of the Windsor Public Library on 365 Windsor Ave. in Wilson; and --Thursday, November 8 at 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. in the Windsor Senior Center inside L.P. Wilson Community Center on 599 Matianuck Avenue. --An evening Coffee Chat will be held in November. More information about that program will follow. "A year ago, we introduced a series of Community Coffee Chats to share information with residents about what is happening in our public schools and adult education programs," explains Dr. Feser. "These events are held in different parts of town to involve as many people as possible, so we can hear what they think. They were so well-received that we are adding new locations this year." The free Community Coffee Chats include a brief update from Dr. Feser on news of the school district, followed by open questions from residents.
