Windsor Adult Education - Essential Skills Classes The Windsor Adult Education Program is reaching out to Windsor residents whose lives may be improved through education. The program serves the educational needs of Windsor's adult residents and businesses through a variety of Essential Skills day and evening programs. We provide courses to help adults achieve the equivalent of a high school diploma; we also provide courses to help non-English speaking adults improve their English and prepare for the citizenship test. Essential Skills classes are free of charge. We have a highly qualified, caring, professional staff. Classes are conducted in an informal, relaxed atmosphere at conveniently located Windsor High School and LP Wilson Community Center. Classes are held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday evenings from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday mornings from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. A childcare program is available to our Essential Skills students during am and pm class hours. The childcare rooms are located close to the adult education classrooms. This special program is offered through the Oliver Ellsworth Family Resource Center. Adult students may register their children during our walk-in registration periods. Registration for the Winter/Spring 2006 session will be held on January 23, 24 and 25 from 10:00am 2:00pm at LP Wilson Community Center, Room 32A/B (Windsor Public Schools Central Offices) and 7:00 9:00pm at Windsor High School. No mail-in registration will be accepted for these courses. Classes will begin the week of January 30th.
