Connecticut's Central Regional Tourism District has debuted a new guide that features many of the best places for burgers and microbrews in the 65 towns and cities of the Greater Hartford, Greater New Haven, and the Connecticut River Valley region. "Burgers & Brews" is a free brochure that is available in print and on-line at www.centerofct.com. With information about more than 55 great eateries and breweries, it is a handy resource for visiting tourists and local residents alike. "More than a century ago, America's first burger sandwich was cooked up right here at New Haven's Louis Lunch," explains Anne Lee, Executive Director of the Central Regional Tourism District which covers 65 Connecticut towns and cities. "And today, our region's restaurants serve up a wide variety of fantastic burgers, from grilled to steamed to bison burgers to build-your-owns. Add to that, some of the finest microbreweries in all of New England, and we have our very own regional burger and brew trail". This colorful "Burgers & Brews" guide features sections on Casual Burger Joints, Pub and Tavern Burgers, Burger Bars, Build Your Own Burger eateries, Restaurant Chains that are dedicated to burgers, and a rundown of Breweries, Brew Cafes and Brew Houses that serve up award-winning locally brewed beer. Included are everything from cozy family eateries to trendy Downtown hot spots to classic fine dining restaurants.
