Proposed Public Transit

Proposed Public Transit
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is conducting public hearings on proposed public transit fare increases for bus, rail and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) paratransit services; and proposed service reductions to the New Haven Line, New Canaan Line, Danbury Line, Waterbury Line, and Shore Line East rail services. No bus or ADA paratransit service reductions are proposed at this time.

At these hearings, the CTDOT will provide information and accept public comments about the fare and service proposals and the Service and Fare Equity Analysis (SAFE). The SAFE analysis evaluates the proposed changes to determine if they will cause a disparate impact to minority populations or a disproportionate burden to low income populations.
