Our Shad Derby Blood Drive Another Success
The Shad Derby Blood Drive, along with the Shad Fish fundraiser (where you donate $1 for a paper fish to post on the wall at participating locations) are the Chamber of Commerce's contributions to the Shad Derby season. Each organization that is a member of the Shad Fest Bureau sponsors one event during the Shad season leading up to the parade/festival day. We chose to hold a blood drive every year to remind people that it can be easy to support our community. Not everyone can support local fundraiser with monetary donations, but giving blood is a quick way almost any one can help out their fellow man, and actually save a life! Thank you to all who gave blood or bought a Shad fish to support the Shad Derby! |
