Having Fun with "Where's Bob?"
The first four "Bob" locations
TourWindsorCT is hosting the “Where’s Bob?” contest to celebrate the expansion of the mobile walking tour of Windsor, Connecticut. Each weekday at 10:00 am, a new “Where’s Bob?” photo is posted to the TourWindsorCT.org’s Facebook and Twitter pages. The photo shows Bob (or his safari hat) at one of the TourWindsorCT sites. Guess his location and you can enter to win! Everyone who plays has a chance to win a $5 Windsor Chamber gift certificate (used like cash at 45 businesses in town), every weekday through June 24th. Enter by finding Bob’s location on the TourWindsorCT.org mobile website and filling in your name and email address.

Congratulations to the first four winners: Linda Dillon, Jim Govoni, Irene Fitzsimonds and Megan (no last name entered.)

Bob’s first locations were some of the post popular sites on the TourWindsorCT.org walking tour: the Amy Archer-Gilligan House 1880 (winner: Linda Dillon), Windsor Art Center At The Freight House (winner: Jim Govoni), the Col. James Loomis House1822 (winner: Irene Fitzsimonds) and the Windsor Public Library (winner: Megan).

The contest is brought to you by the three tourism partners that created the TourWindsorCT.org mobile website: the Windsor Chamber of Commerce, First Town Downtown and Windsor Historical Society.

The mobile website, created one year ago, features historical sites and points of interest in Windsor center. Recently restaurants, shopping and attractions in the center of town have also been added. Soon Wilson, Day Hill and Poquonock locations will be added as well.

You can find the tour on your smartphone at tourwindsorct.org or by clicking the TourWindsorCT QR code posted at most sites. The mobile website is great for anyone who wants to start walking and see some interesting sites that even lifelong residents of Windsor may not be aware of. Create your own path as you walk, bike, or ride around town and get the details on interesting sites. Just point your smartphone, tablet or computer to TourWindsorCT.org. Read more on the partner sites: WindsorHistoricalSociety.org, FirstTownDownTown.org and WindsorCC.org.
