Tourism Committee Meeting

December 10, 2014

 

Present: Jane Garibay: Kim Francis, Paula Pierce, Christine Ermenc, Ashley Williams and Phyllis Stargardter

Meeting Notes:

1.     Update on Walking Tour

·      Mobile Sight;

Paula and John Waveris will design mobile app for a nominal fee.

 Partner with the Windsor Historical Society for information.

 

2.     Bicycle Loan Program

·      We will partner with the Friends of Windsor Public Library and the Town of Windsor.

·      We are thinking of starting with 10 bikes with no speeds to be checked out at the Library with a library card or a license for tourists.

·      Jane will send out related link from Peter Sousa.

·      Will insurance be an issue?

·      Produce a waiver to be signed before loaning bicycle.

·      Invite Susan Kirschner Robinson, Barbara (Librarian) and Christina to next meeting.

 

3.     Update on Flyer:

·      We will put this project on hold for now.

 

4.     Update on tourism E-news subscribers.

·      PSA at WIN-TV have been completed and are on WCC website.

“How to Sign-Up for Chamber Enewsletters.”

“How to Submit Events to the Chamber's Online Calendar”

·      New members will automatically be signed-up.

 

5.     Other.

·      Bracelet: Still researching

·       Wreaths: Possible idea - do a festival of wreaths or trees.
