| Business Development and Programs Committee Nov. 12, 2009 Meeting Notes In attendance: Kristen Barbarotta, Mike Raphael, Eileen Moncrief, Frank Carmon, Elliot Sirota, Jane Garibay, Judy Stickels B2B Review: Beanery is a better location. People coming in and out - see meeting going on and are interested. Still core group other than spotlight presenters. Seems to get better response with personal invite to meeting. Great meeting this past week. Good energy in the room. Continue to the end of the year and reassess. NO MEETING 12/23. RoundTable Review: Small attendance. Continue to end of year and reassess. "You Asked For It" Business Series: _ Consecutive time for several weeks or one session all day? _ Charge for last event was $10/session or $25/all. Just enough to cover expenses. _ Consider videotaping event _ Schedule for 2 hours each / 4 a day _ Topics: o Social Networking Panel LinkedIn/Facebook/YouTube o Quickbooks (Kristen Ingraham) Tightening budget in 2010 o Customer Service (Jerry Wistrom) most popular last time o Accounting for Small Business o Home Based Business and Challenges Panel o Marketing o What Do Business Owe Their Employees? . HR Benefits (FC knows someone who is an expert) o Red Cross Program Jane has had inquiries from businesses in town. Looked into. Was expensive. Review again. (Carmon does for employees. Appx $35/each) _ Location o Town Chamber for 10-12 people only. Video is already set up. o Library for larger anticipated group _ Sponsors for food ? _ Date: January 25th decided for full day session (8-10, 10-12, 12:30-2:30, 2:30-4:30) _ Recruit panel members and presenters. _ Send suggestions to Jane for presenters/panel |
