Photojournalist Jessica Hill has been covering news in Connecticut for 20 years. Jessica grew up in Windsor. She is the daughter of a commercial and news photographer and had the privilege to spend her most formative years coloring with art directors in her coloring books, mixing film fixer in the darkroom for Dad, and breaking down countless studio setups. Jessica graduated cum laude with a BA in Anthropology and a minor in Visual Arts from the University of New Mexico.

Jessica began her career as a correspondent and photographer at the Windsor Journal. She is currently the Photo Editor at the Journal Inquirer and continues freelance work as a contract photographer with the Associated Press for 16 years, The New York Times for over five years and covers assignments for the Washington Post and Wall Street Journal in Connecticut.

Jessica's photographs have received national and international awards and recognition. Her sports, domestic news work, and features have been honored over the years for the following:

Jessica has covered major breaking news stories, including the Sandy Hook School shooting and Hurricane Sandy. She has also covered some of the top college and professional sports teams, U.S. Presidents, celebrities, and more county fairs to count. Her work has been published in countless publications all over the world.

Jessica is a 2019 recipient of Connecticut Arts Council of the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD)/Connecticut Office of the Arts (COA) Artist Fellowship grant. This selection of work on display at the Windsor Public Library's ArtSpace was made possible with their support.
