Joining us via Zoom from New Jersey from 6:30 to 7:30 PM, the Main Library welcomes Mike Norris, PhD, to tell us about Berthe Morisot with his lecture Impressionism with a Woman’s Touch. This talk explores the French Impressionist whose art often focused on modern young women and children—Berthe Marie Pauline Morisot (1841-1895), who captured her world in a vibrant, changing style. Local museums, such as the Newark Museum of Art, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, will help tell her story in art. This program will be hybrid – patrons can either join us in person at the library or login from home using Zoom. Registration Required. Free. 860-285-1918.
