The latest crop of First Town Downtown Heritage Bricks will be installed into the brick patio on the green across from Central Street on Saturday, May 4th at 12:00 noon. All bricks purchased or gifted over the last few months will be brought together and laid into the patio for future generations to enjoy. This installation includes the following bricks: In Memory of: Bob Lougee Michael Brundage Neal J. Brundage Nancy Montecarlo and Miltie Baker In Honor of: Lewis Family Joe and Betty Mancarella First Town Downtown offers engraved bricks as a unique way to memorialize loved ones, commemorate special events, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, births, and recognize civic groups, youth athletic teams, businesses, and volunteers. Visit the heritage bricks already in place and you will be sure to recognize Windsor people and organizations! The engraved bricks are installed in the brick patio on the Town Green across from Central Street twice a year. When purchasing a brick, you can add up to 3 lines of 20 characters each for your special message. Select symbols can also be added. The cost of a heritage brick is $50. Proceeds from the Heritage Bricks benefit First Town Downtown, whose mission is to position and promote Windsor Center as a premier New England town center that protects and utilizes its proud heritage as the basis for developing vibrant recreational, economic and cultural activity. Some First Town Downtown programs include the ever popular Farmers Market, Concerts on the Green, Main Street Matters Meetings and Nightmare on Broad Street.
