Flu vaccination also has been shown to significantly reduce a child’s risk of dying from the flu. Everyone 6 months and older should get a flu vaccine every year before flu activity begins in their community. CDC recommends getting vaccinated by the end of October. Who: Flu vaccines are available at the Windsor Health Department for Windsor residents age 18yo and older. Where: Please call Jennifer Waldo RN, MS, Windsor Public Health Nurse at 860-285-1824 to schedule. You will need to come to the Health Department located at Windsor Town Hall, 275 Broad Street, Windsor, CT 06095. Please bring all your insurance cards with you (Aetna, Anthem BC/BS, Connecticare, Husky, Medicare, United Health Care, etc.).
