| | | Join Windsor Historical Society for another fun and safe family event highlighting the world of Annie’s Home protagonist Annie Howard. Annie’s Home is the Society’s newest publication – a children’s story based on the real people who lived in the historic Strong-Howard House in the year 1810. Families may drop in anytime between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 21st, to visit Annie’s home, meet members of her family, and participate in kitchen tasks and activities that Annie would have done as a girl growing up in 19th-century Windsor. Activities will include hearth cooking demonstrations, preparing herbs, making butter, and more! The Annie’s Kitchen event for families and children takes place at Windsor Historical Society and is free. Participants may also purchase copies of the new Annie’s Home book for the special price of $15. To maintain a COVID-safe environment the public is invited to drop in any time between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. (please don’t all come at 11!). Face masks are required, and guests are asked to maintain social distancing to ensure a safe and healthy event. For more information visit www.windsorhistoricalsociety.org or call 860-688-3813. |
