Christmas Tree & Holiday Open House
Windsor's George Saponare has collected holiday collectibles, decorated trees, and enchanting art and giftware for over five decades. He opens his home for the first three weekends in December for the pleasure of the community.

Instead of an admission fee, people are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items or monetary donations for the Windsor Food & Fuel Bank.

National Wreaths Across America Day
The public is invited to this event in the. – rain or shine – that will be hosted by Carmon Community Funeral Homes of Windsor and Windsor’s American Legion Gray-Dickenson Post #59.

“Our December 15th ceremony will feature a color guard, readings by members of local clergy and veterans, and welcomes from local dignitaries, to be followed by a three-gun salute and the ceremonial laying of wreaths by local Boy Scout Troop 149,” explains Matthew Carmon, a third-generation funeral director at family-owned Carmon Community Funeral Home. His grandfather was the firm’s founder, Frank W. Carmon Jr.

The Windsor Public Library is about to finish the second annual Reading Challenge. We would like to invite all those that participated the 2018 Reading Challenge to a year-end event where there will be talk of books, plots, the world, etc. Every participant will take home a free book. Toys For Tots Drive
Express Employment of Windsor, CT has partnered with our local Toys For Tots and is accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys now through December 15th.

You can bring your donation by our office any time between 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday-Friday. If you are interested in helping local children in need have a wonderful Christmas then don't hesitate to stop by our office at 340 Broad Street, Suite 208, Windsor, CT.

Every person who donates a toy before December 15th will be given an entry into our raffle for a $25 gift card to Amazon.com. Drawing will be December 16th, one entry per person.

Kimberly Hall offers an Alzheimer's Support group for family members who are a caregiver or have a loved one with a form of dementia. The support group consists of both families caring for someone at home or who have someone in a community. Please feel free to join us to learn more about the disease and how to cope with changes that occur as the disease progresses.

Socktober - winter sock collection
Windsor C.A.R.E.S. SOCKTOBER- The summer has ended and the winter months will be upon us before we know it. The winter months are extremely difficult for those who are homeless and need to stay warm. C.A.R.E.S. will be collecting NEW winter socks throughout the month of October to be distributed this holiday season to those in need.

NEW socks can be dropped off at the Social Services office at the LP Wilson Community Center.
