First Church Used Book Sale
First Church in Windsor will hold a used book sale on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Parish House, 107 Palisado Ave., Windsor. There will be plenty of used books, DVD's, jigsaw puzzles and children's books available for sale. Sales will support the missions and ministries of First Church Windsor.

Kid's Movie and Craft Night
Looking for some Friday night fun for your kids so you can get some time to yourself? Well sign them up for Movie and Craft Night at the Windsor Art Center! They will make their own crazy aliens while watching "Chicken Little." Pizza, popcorn, and clementines included. $22 per child, $20 for Art Center members.

You're invited to the Windsor Palette and Brush Club's annual fall art exhibition at the Windsor Town Hall. The opening reception is Sunday November 4 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Please use rear entrance at 275 Broad St, Windsor.
The show dates are Sunday, November 4 to Thursday, November 29 during the Windsor Town Hall's regular hours of Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Reception and show are free and open to the public.

Windsor Art Center Brazilian Jazz
Sunday, November 4 at 3 pm guitarist Joe Carter and vocalist Isabella Mendes will perform Brazilian Jazz. Joe Carter started guitar studies at an early age, eventually focusing on Jazz. While earning B.A. and M.A. degrees in Jazz Performance and starting his Jazz Ph.D. studies at New York University he studied privately with guitarists Sal Salvador, John Scofield, Allan Hanlon, saxophonist Lee Konitz and pianist Don Friedman. After several performance and teaching trips to Brazil his current specialty is Brazilian Jazz, combining Straightahead and Bebop styles of Jazz with Samba, Bossa Nova a

Socktober - winter sock collection
Windsor C.A.R.E.S. SOCKTOBER- The summer has ended and the winter months will be upon us before we know it. The winter months are extremely difficult for those who are homeless and need to stay warm. C.A.R.E.S. will be collecting NEW winter socks throughout the month of October to be distributed this holiday season to those in need.

NEW socks can be dropped off at the Social Services office at the LP Wilson Community Center.
