The First Town Downtown 2018 Farmers’ Market will begin its 10th season on Thursday, June 28 from 3:30 to 6:30 at 240 Broad Street in Windsor Center. The Farmers' Market will run every Thursday through October 18th. This well-attended local marketplace in Windsor Center includes locally grown fruits, vegetables, baked goods, herbs, eggs, cheese, skincare products, candles and more.

Please join us at Windsor Historical Society at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10 for a fascinating and sobering evening with Dr. Matthew Cartter, Connecticut State Epidemiologist and Director of the Connecticut Emerging Infections Program, as he discusses the Spanish Influenza epidemic of 1918-19 and its implications for today. The cost for this program is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, and $4 for Windsor Historical Society members. Allison Horrocks, Ph.D. is a public historian who works as a Park Ranger at Lowell National Historical Park in Lowell, MA. For the past decade, Allison has worked as an interpreter in a range of historical sites and house museums. Her primary areas of interest are women's history, education, and public service. Senior Health Fair/Flu Shot Clinic
Windsor residents age 50+ and disabled adults age 18+ will be able to receive their flu shot, as well as a variety of other health related screenings and tests on Thursday, October 4, between 8:30 AM and noon, such as free cholesterol, diabetes, blood pressure, vision, dental and hearing checks, as well as balance assessments, weight management, rehab, Reiki, massage therapy, home meal delivery information, and much more!

Forms and information on insurance coverage for the flu shot may be picked up in the Senior Center office or in the Health Services Dept. at Windsor Town Hall.
