How does this thing work? Let our Geeks show you how! Bring Your Gadgets to the Geeks at the Windsor Public Library every Wednesday evening. We will take questions on devices and gadgets of all sizes and functions. No appointment necessary, the Geeks will be available on the Mezzanine from 7PM to 8:30PM weekly, and their advice is free. 860-285-1918.

The Town of Windsor Health Department and Hartford Hospital’s Partnership for Breast Care will be sponsoring Hartford Hospital’s Mobile Mammography Program in Windsor to provide Digital Screening Mammograms on Tuesday August 28th, 2018 at the Windsor Town Hall, 275 Broad Street, Windsor, CT 06095. Appointments are available from 9:00 AM to 1:45 PM.

The Windsor Chamber of Commerce and First Town Downtown invite you to a concert on the green sponsored by Kimberly Hall, and the Town of Windsor Recreation Department featuring Steve Lipman Music , from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Free.

Stop by your favorite Windsor restaurant for a bite to eat or pack a picnic on the Green! Don't forget to visit the FTDT Farmers Market before the concert begins!

Local Artist Art Exhibit
Kathleen Tracy, Artist, will be showing eight of her watercolor works of art in West Hartford at West Side Wines, 10 Raymond Road. The show will be up through Labor Day. She is showing her work with fellow artist Peter Upton who uses acrylics. Art works can be viewed during regular business hours Mon-Fri 10 AM to 8 PM, Sat 9 AM to 8 PM and Sunday Noon to 5 PM. Yoga on the Green
Stretch and strengthen in this all-level yoga class, no experience required. Bring your mat if you have one and/or a towel and meet on the Windsor Town Green at 5:30 pm for an hour-long free community yoga class on August 2nd (cancelled due to rain) and August 23rd.

You'll be using your breath to connect to movement and yoga to connect your body and mind. Release any stress or tension that may have accumulated throughout the day and flow into your evening feeling refreshed and energized.

Farmers’ Market
The First Town Downtown 2018 Farmers’ Market will begin its 10th season on Thursday, June 28 from 3:30 to 6:30 at 240 Broad Street in Windsor Center. The Farmers' Market will run every Thursday through October 18th. This well-attended local marketplace in Windsor Center includes locally grown fruits, vegetables, baked goods, herbs, eggs, cheese, skincare products, candles and more.

On Friday, August 24, 2018 at 10 a.m., the Society presents a preview program: a rare opportunity to study two of the rifles produced by Spencer Arms Company with 50- year sporting rifle collector George Carr. Christopher Miner Spencer had one of Connecticut’s most inventive late 19th century minds, devising a repeating rifle, a steam-powered motor carriage, and an automatic screw machine, among other things. Born in Manchester, Connecticut, he moved to Windsor, established the Spencer Arms Company and raised his family there.
