Windsor Art Center Opening Exhibit
The Windsor Art Center is pleased to announce its upcoming exhibition entitled Art on the Tracks: A Celebration of the “Studio,” which will run March 10 through April 21, 2018. This exhibition includes works by resident studio artists at Windsor Train Station including Andres Chaparro, a painter inspired by jazz; LeaAnn Cogswell, a representational sculptor of the human form; Cathy Doocy, a painter using the vernacular of landscape painting as a method for exploring composition and color; Elizabeth Gibbs, a writer and certified yoga therapist teacher; Che’ La’Mora, a visual artist, writer & m

Cross-country Skiing & Snowshoeing
Saturdays and Sundays

Cross-country Skiing & Snowshoeing
Beginning Saturday, January 6th there will be cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at Northwest Park. Snow conditions require a 6” base. Travel through snow-laden forests and fields throughout the park. Cross-country skis and snowshoe rentals are available from the Warming Shed on weekends only, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Children and adult sizes are available. Rental fee is $10.00 for Windsor resident and $15.00 for non-resident. Call on Friday afternoon for updated snow conditions 860-285-1886. Northwest Park is located at 145 Lang Road, Windsor.

Personal Safety
This course will familiarize you with basic self-defense skills and concepts for personal protection with emphasis on ground defense. You’ll learn environmental awareness, physiological and psychological responses, legalities and moral/ethical concerns in self defense. The later part of the class will cover defensive tactics against physical assaults and active shooter response.

Defensive tactics will be practiced with a partner or a training mannequin. Participation in the physical portion is not mandatory but is encouraged.
