Wreaths Across America
Carmon Community Funeral Homes of Windsor and Windsor’s American Legion Gray-Dickenson Post #59 will host its annual Wreaths Across America wreath-laying ceremony on Saturday, December 18th at 12 p.m. at the Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery on East St. All are invited to attend this special event that will be held on the same day as more than 2,500 similar wreath-laying ceremonies will be held across the U.S., at sea and abroad. Last year, more than 500 wreaths were placed by volunteers in Windsor.

The Windsor Lions Club is holding our second annual, no contact Breakfast Sandwich "A Go Go" on December 18th from 8:00-11:00am with all proceeds going to Windsor's Project Santa. This drive through fundraiser will be held at LP Wilson, 599 Matianuck Ave., Windsor, Ct. Join us for some cheer, and let the Lion elves serve you a delicious, freshly made breakfast sandwich.

Windsor Man's Holiday Inflatable Lawn Wonderland is Twice as Big as Last Year to Benefit the Windsor Food & Fuel Bank

A popular local holiday display is even bigger this year! Windsor resident Jason Santos again his sharing his love for the season by showcasing his front lawn with 65 inflatable holiday characters and music, while collecting food for the Windsor Food & Fuel Bank at the same time. From now through December 25 - Christmas night, everyone is invited to come view his outdoor wonderland at 25 Tiffany Drive in Windsor, Conn. The colorful display is open every night from 4:30 p.m.

Voices Against Lyme Disease a 501(c)3, based in Windsor, CT is continuing their Support Group for those with a tickborne illness or a family member and friends. This group meets on the first and third Saturday of every month and is free to anyone wishing to join us. We use strict COVID 19 guidelines for our meetings. In addition, to support discussions we also provide up to date research information on tick borne illnesses, awareness and prevention.

Experience A Home Away from Home: Greater Hartford’s West Indian Diaspora and Bound Together: The Complexities of Black-White Relations in Early Windsor at the stately Chaffee House museum, as well as 100 Years of Windsor Historical Society in the main museum building. Open for a rare self-guided experience, Society staff and docents will be on hand to answer questions and discuss these evocative history experiences.
