Local Museum Helps with Production of Willie Pep documentary
The Vintage Radio & Communications Museum of CT located in Windsor, CT was in the right place at the right time to help get the long-delayed production of the story of Willie Pep, Connecticut’s own world featherweight boxing champion, into its final stage. This production, which is being filmed in the Hartford area, has been delayed by a number of things, including the Covid-19 pandemic.

Artists Sunday On November 28th, the Sunday after Thanksgiving, to spotlight artists during the holiday shopping season.

Artists Sunday, the Sunday after Thanksgiving (Nov 28 this year), is dedicated to supporting local artists and recognizing the impact they have in enriching our lives, communities, and the economy. Consumers are encouraged to shop with local artists, creators and makers and purchase creative, handcrafted items and artistic experiences for the holidays. Artists Sunday follows Black Friday and Small Business Saturday, prior to Cyber Monday.

The Exhibit will be open to the public for viewing on Sunday November 28 for Artist Sunday
from noon to 3:00 pm.

The Windsor Palette & Brush Club Annual Fall Art Exhibition will open on Sunday November 7 with a pop-up market of local artists from 11:00am - 3:00pm.
The show will run from November 7 - December 2, 2021 in the lower level of the Windsor Town Hall located at 275 Broad St, Windsor.
The Town Hall hours are as follows: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm and any time the town hall is open for evening meetings.
Free and open to the Public.

You & Me Time: Stuffies!
Join us for You & Me Time at the Windsor Public Library from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM to create a one-of-a-kind stuffed animal using fabric and string. Plus we’ll have a Hot Chocolate Bar. This event is designed for an adult and a child (age 6+) to create something together. Basic sewing tools and supplies will be used. Registration is required as space is limited. Free. Order a Veterans Wreath by December 10th
Carmon Community Funeral Homes of Windsor and Windsor’s American Legion Gray-Dickenson Post #59 will host its annual Wreaths Across America wreath-laying ceremony on Saturday, December 18th at 12 p.m. at the Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery on East St. All are invited to attend this special event that will be held on the same day as more than 2,500 similar wreath-laying ceremonies will be held across the U.S., at sea and abroad. Last year, more than 500 wreaths were placed by volunteers in Windsor.

Anyone may purchase $15 wreaths to be placed at the December 18th ceremony and all payments

For more than 50 years, the U.S. Small Business Administration has celebrated National Small Business Week (NSBW), which recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. The SBA Connecticut District Office is accepting nominations for its 2022 small business awards. These annual awards recognize the achievements of SBA-assisted small businesses and the contributions they have made to their communities and Connecticut’s economy.
