HBG’s next event featuring an awesome local artist is Heart Stone Gallery! Her pottery and artwork is inspired by nature and has an earthy feel I just love and hope you do too!

Come check out her wares from 12-3 on Sept 26 (rain date sun sept 27) she will be set up outside House of Books and Games 1073 Palisado Ave Windsor.

Kerri and her hubby Drew are some of the cool people we have met through the shop and we are happy to call them friends. Please come meet her and see the beautiful things she makes. Support local artists!

Sunday, September 27, 4:30pm – 6:30pm. Journaling Workshop taught by Karen Sprague. Combining artwork and words with acrylic and magic marker separately, will be the theme of this workshop in a journal of your life or dreams. (Bring photos). Workshop Fee: $30. Material Fee: $25 (payable to instructor). Class maximum is 8 people with a minimum of 4.

The 2020 Country Fair has blossomed into a fun filled group of events around Windsor!

Events will take place around Windsor, Northwest Park, and your very own yards and gardens.

(You can start growing those flowers and veggies now!)

Family friendly mix of traditional and new events will include:
• Pumpkin decorating
• Scarecrow competition
• Cow patty bingo
• Silent auction
• Nature photos
• Garden competition
• Scavenger hunt
• Sidewalk chalk drawing
• Egg drop contest
• Curb appeal contest

All awards will be presented at the end of September

The First Town Downtown Farmers’ Market for 2020 runs from July 2 through October 15 on Thursdays from 3:30 - 6:30 pm at 240 Broad Street in Windsor Center. This well-attended local marketplace in Windsor Center includes locally grown fruits, vegetables, baked goods, herbs, eggs, cheese, skincare products, candles and more.

We are very excited to be moving forward with the Farmers' Market with new guidelines to keep everyone safe. Masks are required.

The Connecticut Freedom Trail is designed to recognize the importance of sites throughout the State that are associated with the heritage and movement towards freedom of African Americans. The mission of the Windsor Freedom Trail is to 1) raise awareness of the Windsor Freedom Trail and share the rich history of the Freedom Trail sites; and 2) provide Windsor residents and the greater community with educational programs and events to celebrate African American achievement, history, and heritage. So many events going on this fall at the Windsor Art center! From a Mini show with Granby artists to Therapeutic Yoga on Sundays.
The Granby Artists Association will feature an Exhibition Season of Change in Collaboration with the Windsor Art Center. This Pop-up show will feature artworks of over 20 Granby artists working in various media and styles.

Open during regular exhibition hours:
Thursday 6 – 8 PM
Saturday 10 AM – 4 PM
Sunday 11 AM – 4 PM.

Additional Granby artists’ items will be available in the gift shop.
