The Town of Windsor’s Holiday Observance Committee has announced that the annual Veteran’s Day Observance will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Council Chambers at Windsor Town Hall located at 275 Broad Street. The public is welcome to attend.

Windsor Art Center Opening Exhibit
The Windsor Art Center is excited to be hosting a sculpture show entitled Imagers in Conversation, beginning Saturday, November 11, 2017. The two sculptors featured in this exhibition are Delois Barnes and James Buxton. Both individually and together, their works spark and engage dialogue around societal issues.

The exhibition opens with a free public reception on Saturday, November 11, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. The exhibition runs through December 23 at The Windsor Art Center, 40 Mechanic Street, Windsor, CT.

FREE residential electronics recycling event hosted by Windsor Conservation Commission
Saturday, November 11th 8AM-12 NOON at the Windsor Town Hall.

Residents are encouraged to bring unwanted electronics to drive up collection event.

Accepted items:
Computers, laptops, printers, monitors, TV’s, cell phones, tablets, VCR/DVD player’s small appliances, light bulbs, batteries, and much more.

Unacceptable items:
smoke detectors, Propane tanks, ballasts, paint, appliances with Freon like fridges, freezers, dehumidifiers.

Jazz, Art, Food at Windsor Art Center Studios

On November 11, 12 from 11 am – 4 pm Open Studio Hartford will take place at the Windsor Train Station, 35 Central Street. The two day event will feature six award winning artists and artisans and their work: LeaAnn Cogswell, sculpture; Cathy Doocy, paintings; Andres Chaparro, paintings; Joe Sam, mixed media; Charlene Li, pottery; Kassie Huhtanen, pottery; and Robert Noreika, paintings.
From noon – 2 on both days, pianist Alex Nakhimovsky, recording artist, producer, arranger and educator will play some jazz selections. Alex is on the faculty of

our Veterans Programs! Come celebrate America’s heroes with brew and barbeque at our first
annual Red, White, and Brew Barbeque event at Thomas Hooker Brewery in Bloomfield! The
event is 5:30- 7:30 pm and will feature barbeque from Bear’s Smokehouse and fun activities
for all in attendance.

For $45, you will sample all the brews on tap, get a guided tour of the brewery and brewing
