Opening Weekend for Browns Harvest's 5 Acre Corn Maze! This year's theme "Wild About the Weather" in recognition of the 40th anniversary of the Oct 3rd Tornado. First weekend only $8/pp, ages 3 and up! Kids' Maze open, too! We'll be making our first batches of Apple Cider Donuts. Mums, pumpkins, jams, syrups, honey, Spookley the Square Pumpkin items, lawn spinners and fall decorations available. Come out to the Farm and enjoy the early Fall weather!

Grand Opening: Dr. Chaffee's Office
Please join us at Windsor Historical Society on Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 1 to 4 p.m. for a fascinating journey into the past as we open Dr. Hezekiah Chaffee’s office as a newly installed hands-on space. Hezekiah Chaffee was trained as apothecary and practiced medicine from the 1760s through the early 1800s on Palisado Green. As well as making up and prescribing medicines, Dr. Chaffee would have treated fevers, broken bones, and a variety of other ills, even delivered babies. As you will see, a visit to the doctor’s office was not for the faint of heart!

Flu Vaccines at Town Hall
CDC recommends a yearly flu vaccine as the first and most important step in protecting against influenza and its potentially serious complications. It can reduce flu illnesses, doctors’ visits, and missed work and school due to flu, as well as prevent flu-related hospitalizations.

Flu vaccination also has been shown to significantly reduce a child’s risk of dying from the flu. Everyone 6 months and older should get a flu vaccine every year before flu activity begins in their community. CDC recommends getting vaccinated by the end of October.

Fall Art Exhibit at the Windsor Town Hall, Opening Reception, is Sunday, November 3, from
2:00 to 4:00 PM in the Council Chambers. Windsor Palette & Brush Club members art work will be on display in the lower level corridors and will continue through November 28 and may be viewed at any time during Town Hall hours, including evening meetings.
Meet the artists and enjoy delicious refreshments.
Art works, many of which will be for sale, will include oils, watercolors, pastel, mixed media, collage, stained glass, and photography.
