Little Black Dress Fundraiser
There will be a Fashion Show Fundraiser put on by The Little Black Dress LLC and a Tea Cup Auction held at Grace Episcopal Church, 311 Broad St, in Windsor to raise much needed funds for The Red Door of Grace Food Pantry located at Grace Episcopal Church and The Five Corner Cupboard in East Windsor. The event will be on Saturday, September 28, 2019. Doors open at 11 am and the show starts at 1:00 p.m. Tickets are $15.00 and can be purchased at the door or by calling (860) 688-1232. Complimentary refreshments will be provided and Little Black Dress Fashions will be available for purchase

Flu shots for Windsor residents age 50+ and disabled adults age 18+ are available at the Windsor Senior Center's Health Fair & Flu Shot Clinic on Thursday, October, 3, 2019. The fair runs from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM and there will be many free health screenings and services, demonstrations, giveaways, and over 35 vendors! Please call 860-285-1992 for more information, see our attached flyer, and contact the Windsor Health Dept. at 860-285-1824 if you need a flu shot form and for information on insurance coverage. The Coffee Hour will be led by Wayne I. Rioux, Veterans Liaison for Hartford Health Care at Home. Wayne is an Army Vietnam Era Veteran and a retired Connecticut State Police Lieutenant. Wayne brings 6 years of experience in sharing information and assisting Veterans with benefits, entitlements, including financial assistance.

Walk along this 3.9 mile route with your friends and family as you learn about the rich history of the Connecticut Freedom Trail and visit the Windsor Freedom Trail sites that are associated with African American heritage and movement towards freedom. (A bus will follow the walkers). Everyone will meet at the Archer Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church at 7:00a.m., and then be transported to the first site, Riverside Cemetery on East Street in Windsor to start the tour.
