I Love My Kyrgyzstan Art Show
In celebration of the 24th Anniversary establishing diplomatic relations between Kyrgyz Republic and the U.S., the Fermata Arts Foundation and the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the USA and Canada are happy to announce a traveling exhibition of children’s drawings titled: “I love my Kyrgyzstan.” It consists of fifty one (51) drawings from the Republic Center of Aesthetic Education for Children “Balajan” [53 Moskovskaya St., Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, 720021]. Student ages range from 6 to 11 years old. This exhibition will be traveling around New England from February of 2015 until December of 20

Join us at Northwest Park on Saturday, July 29th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM for a Firefly Presentation/Book Signing & Evening Walk. This presentation by noted biologist and firefly expert Sara Lewis who dives into the fascinating world of fireflies and reveals the most up-to-date discoveries about these beloved insects. Sara’s recently published book, Silent Sparks, will be available for sale and signing. Following the presentation there will be an evening walk in search of fireflies. The First Town Downtown 2017 Farmers’ Market is gearing up for its 9th season! This well-attended local marketplace in Windsor Center includes locally grown fruits, vegetables, baked goods, herbs, eggs, cheese, skincare products, candles and more.

The Farmers’ Market runs every Thursday June 29 - October 19 from 3:30-6:30pm and is located at 240 Broad Street in the center of Windsor.

Appalachian Craft Fair
Residents living in the coalfields of southeastern Kentucky have few opportunities for employment but a local church is doing its part to help artisans in the Cumberland Mountains earn a living. In an effort to alleviate a real unemployment rate approaching 50% in the Red Bird Valley, Red Bird Mission Crafts markets a wide selection of high quality crafts for as many as 100 different crafters living within an 80-mile radius of the mission.
