Farmers' Market
First Town Downtown's Farmers' Market is every Thurs from June 17th through October 28th from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm. New vendors, including a USDA certified organic farm will be joining the variety of fresh locally grown produce and specialty items enjoyed last year. The market is held at 240 Broad St (corner of Broad and Maple).

Northwest Park is a lively 473-acre multi-activity recreational park right here in our hometown. NWP Nature Center is an information hub and home to many live animals and exhibits. Outside you may see bluebirds, deer, turtles and turkeys. Ten miles of trails can be used for hiking and biking and don't forget to visit the animal barn and playground.
At the Tobacco Cultural Museum you will enjoy photographs, exhibits and an impressive walk-through artifact museum to get a glimpse of the culture and history of the tobacco industry in the Connecticut Valley.

Come see where a true American hero walked, lived, and loved. Oliver Ellsworth was born in Windsor in 1745 and was one of five men appointed by George Washington to frame the Constitution of the United States of America. In 1772, he married Abigail Wolcott and they had nine children. In 1796, he was appointed third Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. He is known throughout the country and the world as a Revolutionary Patriot, Attorney, Senator and Chief Justice. He is also widely recognized for having first coined the phrase 'United States of America". George Washington visited his Homestead in 1789. This summer would be a great time for you to visit too!

This event will feature a story time for families with young children prior to the weekly Thursday evening summer concerts. After the story time children will receive a free book.

The Windsor Art Center is a place for the visual and performing arts located in Windsor, Connecticut. The Center began in 2007 when a group of local citizens who were interested in securing a greater presence for the arts in the town came together to plan and present the works of local artists.

In 2008, thanks to the Town of Windsor, the board of directors after a trial run, signed a five year lease for the use of the Freight House adjacent to the railroad tracks.

Cool off this summer and connect with our town's past at Windsor Historical Soci-ety. Families will especially enjoy the air-conditioned Hands-On-History Learning Cen-ter where they can try on colonial costumes, "cook" a meal in the open hearth, "milk" the cow, and attend a one room school.
Engaging exhibitions 375 Years of Windsor History, Faces of Windsor, and Windsor Barn Stories are on view as well as two beautiful 18th century homes, a research library filled with fascinating old photographs and documents, and a museum store.
